Discover Poplar: a day of play on Cotall Street

On Sunday 3 September, we’ll be hosting a community street party in collaboration with Poplar Union. It’ll be a real celebration of the area’s past, present and future, with an opportunity to see how our plans will transform Bartlett Park and Limehouse Cut Canal.

At the free event, taking place on Cotall Street (between the park and canal), you’ll be able to take a walk through a tree-lined avenue to discover Poplar’s industrious past; stop off at the interactive craft stalls, including block printing, biscuit decorating and soap making, learning about the industry and trade that kept the neighbourhood alive; watch live performances on the outdoor stage and take to the water with a free Moo Canoe taster session. Our interactive pavilion will also be making a return – you’ll be able to share your experiences of Poplar to create a stunning installation.

E5 Roasthouse, who will be running their new roastery and café from Poplar Union, will be serving freshly made pizza and beverages throughout the day too!
