A key part of delivering GLA Land and Property Limited’s (GLAP) Climate Action Strategy is ensuring that new developments are designed to be fit for the future- reducing operational energy, minimising embodied carbon and resilient to our changing climate.
To this end, Levitt Bernstein, Etude and Currie and Brown developed GLAP’s Environmental Sustainability Framework, which sets its ambition and commitments for new developments within the context of the climate emergency. The environmental metrics and key performance indicators have been developed through an evidence-based approach and stakeholder engagement. Creating a framework that seeks to balance deliverability with high environmental sustainability performance.
A supporting Homes for Londoners Environmental Sustainability Proforma has also been developed as a means of reporting against the metrics and key performance indicators.
