The Tower Hamlets Town Hall comprises the re-development of the Victorian Grade II listed former Royal London Hospital into a new Civic Centre. The project consolidates the Council's staff members into one central location and anchor the wider regeneration of Whitechapel.
Our public realm proposals achieve a high quality and inclusive sequence of arrival which address heavily constrained site conditions. Working alongside architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, our landscape team provided public realm design for the new streetscape setting of the refurbished building with generous street furniture, mature London Plane trees and planting including species resilient to climate change. Above ground terraces provide amenity for staff and visitors. All technical design was delivered to the client’s BIM requirements which followed the ISO1965-2 and the UK BIM Framework.
