Sumner Road, Southwark

About:

Southwark Council has committed to build 11,000 new homes in the borough before 2020, and Sumner Road forms part of the first phase of this initiative.

The redevelopment of the former workshop site on the north Peckham estate provides 112 new mixed tenure homes across two new buildings, along with a new community centre to provide flexible space for the wider area. One of the buildings features undercroft parking with a landscape podium above to provide secure communal amenity space for the residents. An existing greenspace next to the site has been re-landscaped to provide new play facilities for the community.
