LSO St Luke's Future Ready, Islington

About:

The transformation of LSO St Luke’s, home to the London Symphony Orchestra’s rehearsal, recording and learning programmes, involved adapting the historic Hawksmoor church into a more accessible and inclusive space for performance, recording and community engagement.

The £8M development ensures that LSO St Luke’s can meet the varied needs of the Orchestra, LSO Discovery and the local community to the highest standards. It enables the LSO to expand its artistic programme through new high‑performance technical infrastructure, an upgraded digital network, and advanced sound and vision facilities.

The refurbishment minimises its impact on the historic building while providing more flexible spaces to support a wider range of activities. It incorporates environmentally conscious design to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, preparing the building for a lifetime of sustainable use.
