We were commissioned by Elizabeth College to deliver a masterplan for the estate that builds on the strength of their reputation, school community, and historic setting in St Peter Port. We worked in partnership with the College for six months to establish a strategic vision for the school's future.
Our comprehensive process of research, consultation, and design resulted in a richly layered proposal considering challenges of all scales. An extensive and thorough information gathering exercise consolidated survey, operational, and statutory data. It also identified information shortfalls to be addressed or highlighted for future attention.
The resulting masterplan features a programme of refurbishment and demolition, as well as targeted new build and landscaping improvements. The proposals make best use of the estate, including the important addition of a large office building directly adjacent to the site, whilst modernising all College facilities through a common vision to prepare for ever-changing educational needs.
