London Road Fire Station, one of our mixed use projects in Manchester, received planning permission last week. It combines an ambitious reimagining of 21st century working/living spaces, a new international boutique hotel wing that will sit in front of the existing London Road courtyard elevation, and a new pavilion in the central courtyard to provide access to a bar and event space – underpinned by carefully curated event, leisure and cultural spaces that bring a new dynamic to the city of Manchester. Careful consideration has been given to all elements across the Grade II* listed building, including the conservation of original features such as the slate roof, timber, brickwork, stone and tiles.
