Boundaries: charity art auction for Shelter

On Wednesday we hosted an art auction in aid of Shelter; the final event of our year-long partnership with the charity.

Inspired by the London Festival of Architecture’s theme of ‘boundaries’, we asked artists, creatives and those with lived experience of homelessness to create postcard artworks. The range and quality of submissions was fantastic, as you would expect from such a mixed, talented bunch. All of them were sold anonymously in a silent and live auction led by actor and comedian David Schneider, and thanks to the generosity of our crowd, we raised an incredible £6.7k! In total, that means we have now raised a whopping £26k to help tackle homelessness across the country.

Thank you to everyone who created, bid and bought artworks and joined us for the very special evening, and to our sponsors for making the event possible: Southern Grove, Future Generation, Bristow Johnson, BuroHappold Engineering, Buzzacott, Cantor Developments, Civic Engineers, Conisbee, Curtins, Delvendahl Martin, Dhaba, Ellis + Moore, Greengage, make:good, Max Fordham, Metropolitan & Suburban, Peter Brett Associates and Price & Myers.
