Levitt Bernstein has long experience of the design and construction of student housing and hostel accommodation, both for academic institutions and private sector providers.
Many projects have been in tight urban locations, often in Conservation Areas or on difficult, sensitive sites. They are designed to maximise the use of expensive inner-city land, in order to provide accommodation close to the heart of the institutions they serve. The success of such projects is dependant upon a combination of design skill and advocacy, in order to convince the planning authorities of their benefit. Other projects focus on improvements to existing accommodation, a sustainable approach which maximises existing assets without recourse to expensive replacement.
