Tabot Centre, Granville New Homes, Brent

Details

Designed to make an important contribution to the inclusion of all ages and the sustainability of the community, the Tabot Centre provides a new home for an existing community group and it is fully integrated into the overall development of housing and public park. Placed at the most prominent corner of the site, its bold form and contrasting materials make it a landmark for the project and local area.

The Centre’s design acknowledges its role as a significant community amenity, with its principal glazed elevation and entrance addressing a new urban square, where further sports, health and civic buildings are envisaged. The Centre’s facilities are grouped around a generous double-height hall, which provides multi-functional space for a range of different uses and users.

Two dedicated external play areas are integral to the centre

  • secure, ground-level play area
  • roof terrace for small group activity
