Many thanks to everyone who supported the sell-out 'Dalston Discovered' event for the London Festival of Architecture, held on 30th June.
Levitt Bernstein and Gort Scott have been asking the local community "How do you use your roof?" and hosted a guided tour to discover Dalston's creative use of, and stories behind, these often overlooked and underused spaces. We visited a selection of very different local rooftops and hidden spaces, all presented by our welcoming community.
The tour took in:
The Dalston Roof Park (Bootstrap Company), The Print House; Dalston Point Roof Garden, Dalston Square; FARM:shop, Dalston Lane; The Eastern Curve Garden, Dalston Lane; with a closing tea party in the Curve Garden.
