We are very proud that Vaudeville Court, LB Islington, has been commended in the Homes Category of the New London Awards 2012.
This project is Levitt Bernstein’s winning entry in an open architectural competition to develop a new, exemplary architectural and landscape model for affordable family housing in Islington. The competition required the ideas to be applied to a specific site, Vaudeville Court in Finsbury Park. Our design is underpinned by the sustainable concept of ‘homesown’, growing your own fruit and vegetables.
The jury for the NLA Awards were looking for “schemes of the highest design quality that demonstrate a positive impact on their surroundings and make a wider contribution to life in the city.” (from NLA website)
