Funded by CLG and managed by Habinteg, the Lifetime Homes Technical Forum was set up to identify areas of particular importance or concern to members of the housing industry prior to the Government reaffirming its commitment to wholesale adoption of the standard by 2016.
The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) then considered how the 16 requirements might be modified to make implementation cheaper and easier. Following a pubic consultation on the suggestions put forward by the TAG, the revised Lifetime Homes standard was published in July 2010. Julia Park was a member of both working groups and Levitt Bernstein produced new proposals for accessible bathrooms and WC. Date: 2009-10
